In one whirlwind day, a group of passionate creatives came together to film Nonplus, a spy-military inspired short film. Shot in a single location on very short notice, the production pushed us to adapt quickly and learn on the fly. Despite the tight timeline, we had a lot of fun collaborating, and the project highlights the importance of teamwork. With each person contributing their vision and skills, we discovered how crucial it is to communicate, trust one another, and embrace the creative process. Nonplus taught us that, with dedication and a strong team, even the most ambitious projects can come to life in unexpected ways.

In the summer of 2023, a group of aspiring creatives from Northern Virginia came together through NOVA’s Cinema FAMU Study Abroad program in the Czech Republic. For many of us, it was our first time meeting and collaborating, but this unique experience quickly became more than just a professional journey. We had the opportunity to work alongside both American and European film students, creating high-quality, ambitious projects. Through this, we found our creative voices and developed our shared vision. But what made the experience even more special was the deep friendships we formed along the way, building a sense of camaraderie that has become the foundation of Nihilo Studio. This experience not only shaped us as professionals but also connected us on a personal level, making it an unforgettable milestone in our creative journey.
